I’m very excited to share with you guys my easy steps on how to find WEP on your computer. Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) is a deprecated algorithm to secure IEEE 802.11 wireless networks. Just find the instructions below according to your operating system that you used.

To connect to an available wireless network on Windows XP/Windows Vista800px-Linksys_Router

  1. Right-click the network connection icon in the notification area, and then click View Available Wireless Networks.
  2. In Connect to Wireless Network, under Available Networks, click the wireless network that you want to connect to.
  3. The network key is required for Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP), type the key.
  4. Click Connect.
  5. To configure additional wireless network connection settings, or if you are having difficulty making a connection to the wireless network that you selected, click Advanced, and then configure the settings in the Wireless Networks tab.

To find WEP on your Windows Seven

  1. Click the network connection icon in the notification area, and then right click the wireless network that you want to connect to.
  2. Click Properties, input your network security key
  3. Click Connect.

Please see my quick video demo below.

That is how I configured my home network. Do you have something to add? Write your comments below. I look forward to it.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to You All!
