I have installed the TweetMeme button for my blog recently. This Wordpress Plugin will let yourTweety visitors to easily re-tweet your web pages, blog, and article pages. In this post, I’ll show you how to install a re-tweet button in just few minutes.

Begin visiting the plugin selection here. There you can find selection for Web Button, Email, RSS Button, and Wordpress Plugin button. Click on Plugin, then you will be redirected to Plugins page where it will give you choices of what platform you are using. In my case, of course I used Wordpress. You can now download from the Wordpress Plugin page.

Installation Instructions:

  1. Upload the TweetMeme directory to the /wp-content/plugins/directory
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in Wordpress
  3. Go to Setting/TweetMeme to configure the button

That’s all, you’re good to go. Visit your site now to see how’s your TweetMeme button looks like. Likewise, be sure you won’t forget to re-tweet this post!

You will also need to configure your retweet button to point to your twitter username and not to the current setting of tweetmeme as it is presently - simply because : whoever does " retweet " this post or any other post here on your blog , will not be tweeting you - since the retweets will not point to your twitter username :D hope this helps :) I see tons of users on WP who have the retweet button implemented into their blogs - but have omitted making the appropriate settings to point to their twitter-username. You should correct it and write another article instructing your readers to do the same :)

    Take care :)
