I’m looking back into the post of Steve about the origin of Social Networks. It has been proven that everything changes for a reason. When I got this headline from Yahoo mail that Facebook has purchased FriendFeed, a Web service that gives users a view of what their friends are doing on all sorts of social media sites.
Facebook just got it. The site plays the game of collaboration because they know there are more talented web guys on FriendFeed. Aside from that, they meet with common interest. Another example are Google bought Feedburner, Microsoft deals with search engine to Yahoo, and much more players are doing like this. I’m neither expecting if Wordpress the de facto blogging platform will buy Posterous nor buying its close competitor Blogger. Who knows, it will happen tomorrow then.
Most companies are involved in a very close competition. Everyone wants to dominate the world as a whole rather than distributing the pie equally to all.
